Ingelia, S.L., a Spanish SME has developed industrial application of Hydrothermal Carbonization Technology (“HTC”) that allows to transform different organic waste streams into a coal like product (hydrochar, also named biocoal). Our head quarter and engineering offices are located in Valencia. It commissioned the first industrial HTC plants worldwide in Valencia (Spain) during 2010, and commissioned a second HTC reactor type during 2016, increasing the capacity of its HTC plant and starting commercial deployment of its proprietary HTC technology.
