The INCLUE Project continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to advancing sustainable solutions in the field of resource recovery and circular bioeconomy. Bringing together 11 highly motivated doctoral candidates (DCs) from across Europe and UK, INCLUE focuses on developing cutting-edge research at the intersection of biotechnology, environmental engineering, and industrial sustainability. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the project aims to transform waste streams into valuable resources, contributing to a more resilient and climate-neutral future. The doctoral candidates, each working on specialized yet interconnected topics, represent the core driving force behind INCLUE’s mission to bridge academic research with real-world industrial applications.
During this week, in Leuven, Belgium, the INCLUE Project participated at the 2026 edition of the RRB Conference (Renewable Resources & Biorefineries), one of the leading international events dedicated to sustainable biobased solutions. The participation highlighted the breadth and depth of research conducted within the project. Out of the 11 doctoral candidates, 6 delivered oral presentations, sharing detailed insights into their research findings, while 5 contributed through poster presentations, fostering interactive discussions with fellow researchers and industry experts.
In addition to the formal scientific sessions, INCLUE doctoral candidates actively engaged in the Biobased Market, where they pitched and presented their project ideas and goals to an audience deeply interested in resource recovery and innovation. Though displaying the water treatment sludge research and experiment results may not be the easiest mission, the INCLUE stand served as a vibrant hub for exchange, attracting attention from participants eager to explore new collaborations and applications. These interactions not only showcased the scientific excellence of the DCs, but also emphasized their ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
